New Hyundai Elantra Review
New Hyundai Elantra in Phoenix, AZ
New Hyundai Elantra Review | Award-Winning and Affordable, the Perfect Combination
The 2026 Hyundai Elantra builds on the excellent reputation of this generation of small sedans. In fact, when this generation was introduced, the sedan was named North American Car of the Year. This coveted award is remarkably hard to win, especially when your car is affordable and not a premium model.
The small sedan has earned the awards for Best Buy and 5-Year Cost to Own from Kelley Blue Book. Furthermore, the affordable car is rated highly by Motor Trend, which calls the new generation an "obvious success".
The series has a wide range of engine types, including affordable standard, money-saving hybrid-electric and exciting performance powertrains. Adding peace of mind, the 2025 Hyundai Elantra has a long list of standard driver assistance technologies. If you want value in a car you’ll love, you need to check out the Elantra trim levels at our San Tan store, serving Mesa and Phoenix Hyundai drivers.
Interior Style and Amenities
With its new more stylish cabin on display, the new Hyundai Elantra in Phoenix has been praised for its higher quality appointments and better technology in this class. It’s easy to see why when you look at the premium cloth upholstery and needle punch carpeting. The SE trim level, most affordable on the list, has a very generous tech package including the touchscreen. The rear bench can be folded to expand the trunk, and there are rear air ducts for greater comfort.
Stylistas may be more interested in the fact that a rich leatherette or dressy leather are available on higher trims of this small sedan. SEL trims add dual-automatic climate controls. The Hybrid Blue Trim Level has heated side mirrors and heated front seats. The Limited cabin has a power driver’s seat, heater front seats, and a sunroof. The Hybrid Limited is a leather edition with the larger touchscreen and the other Limited Trim Level upgrades.
A favorite for our Phoenix AZ summers, ventilated front seats are on the menu of this affordable ride. For more information about 2026 trim levels, check out this extended review.
New Elantra Technology
Standard on the entry trim level, the 2026 Hyundai Elantra in Phoenix has an 8-inch touchscreen with HD radio and a rearview camera with dynamic guidance. This system includes Bluetooth, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Helpful equipment includes a data USB port and charger USB port. There are upgrades with more speakers and more features, but new Elantra prices remain affordable.
On the Limited, Hyundai's tech system is upgraded with Dynamic Voice Recognition and the complete navigation package with traffic and weather. The larger 10.25-inch touchscreen is a high resolution split-screen display with navigation.
Kelley Blue Book compares this display arrangement to the system on a much more expensive Mercedes Benz. You can be sure that dual automatic temperature controls, a wireless charger and a Boss audio system are on the menu at this Phoenix Hyundai store.
Elantra N Performance
The three main trim levels have a peppy 147-horsepower Atkinson engine while the new Elantra Hybrid powertrain is rated for 139 combined horsepower. Hyundai Elantra N Line trims have a turbo engine that cranks out 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
Cranking up the heat, 2026 Hyundai Elantra N models have a Flat Power turbo engine that cranks out 276 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. A SmartStream Intelligent Variable Transmission is standard. The N Line offers a choice of a 6-speed manual, 7-speed DCT automatic, and unique N 9-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. Shiftronic automatics provide paddle shifters for some manual shifting fun.

Size and Specifications
How big is the new Hyundai Elantra in Phoenix? Despite the fact there are a number of Elantra versions, the standard, hybrid and N Line are all the same size. That’s good news since the passenger cabin measures 99.4 cubic feet, outstanding in this class. The backseat has 38 inches of legroom. The trunk measures 14.8 cu ft.
Called a compact car, the 2026 Hyundai Elantra has more second-row space than some compact SUVs, including the Mazda CX-3 and the Toyota RAV4. Likewise, the passenger volume is roomier than rivals Toyota Corolla or Nissan Sentra in Phoenix.
Naturally, more space is always a better value for your automotive dollar. If you are looking for 2026 Elantra prices, please reach out to our staff. Or you can scroll down to find the latest Elantra deals.
Elantra Safety
The new Elantra SE trim level has many angles covered. The blind spot detection and lane keep assist are a good pair to help drivers stay out of danger to the immediate right or left. The basic front-collision avoidance system tries to warn the driver and/or stop the car from rear ending the car ahead. Unlike many rivals, high beam assist and a driver attention warning are standards.
The SEL trim level has Highway Driver Assist with its junction detection functions and Smart Cruise Control with its Stop-and-Go capability. This trim adds parking collision-avoidance features with a reverse automatic braking capability and parking distance warnings.
