Hyundai has recently introduced a new model to its lineup of compact SUVs – the 2020 Hyundai Venue. Hyundai Kona vs Hyundai Venue Technology and Safety 

Inside the 2020 Hyundai Kona drivers will find a standard 7-inch color touchscreen display audio system with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® connectivity. The Kona comes standard with a full range of safety technology features, including Lane Keeping Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Driver Attention Warning. The first-ever Hyundai Venue is fitted with a floating 8-inch display audio system that also comes equipped with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.  The Venue offers a similar lineup of standard safety tech as its Kona sibling. 

Hyundai Venue vs Kona Performance and Engine Options 

Beneath the hood of the 2020 Venue is a 1.6-liter Smartstream 4-cylinder engine with 121 horsepower and 113 pound-feet of torque on tap. The 2020 Venue earns an EPA-estimated 30 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway when equipped with an automatic transmission. The 2020 Hyundai Kona is fitted with a standard 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that manufactures 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The nimble Kona earns an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway.

Is the Hyundai Kona or Hyundai Venue Bigger? 

The Hyundai Kona measures in just slightly bigger than the Hyundai Venue, with a total interior volume of 113.3 cubic feet compared to the Venue model’s 110.6 cubic feet. The Kona has a passenger volume of 94.1 cubic feet and 19.2 cubic feet of standard cargo space. With the rear seats folded down, the Kona offers up to 45.8 cubic feet of space for cargo. The 2020 Venue offers 91.9 cubic feet of passenger space and is equipped with an 18.7-cubic foot cargo area. When the rear seats in the Venue are folded down the cargo area expands to 31.9 cubic feet.
