This guide from the Earnhardt Hyundai - San Tan service team is here to help. Read more: Hyundai N and N Line Performance Sedans Overview Hyundai Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission Operation The wet dual-clutch transmission developed for Hyundai N models is available with manual or fully automatic modes and eight speeds. The wet DCT is designed for improved efficiency, acceleration, and comfort on the road. The main difference between the wet N DCT and a typical dry dual-clutch transmission is the use of oil in the wet DCT. The Hyundai wet DCT uses an electric oil pump to improve movement within the powertrain and increase thermal endurance. This transmission system provides the convenience of a traditional automatic transmission along with the engaging experience of a manual transmission. Drivers looking for a more responsive and engaging performance on the road will be drawn to the wet DCT found in select Hyundai N models.
